We are proud to present a successful project that we had the privilege to realize in collaboration with Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, the largest non-state university in Europe and a symbol of academic excellence.
The objective? To design an innovative, high-impact and unforgettable training experience to raise awareness of cybersecurity risks among staff and management.
An Unconventional Training
In a context in which computer security is more crucial than ever, Università Cattolica has chosen to take an unconventional route: a Cyber Escape Room built at its headquarters in Milan and totally customized. An immersive, tailor-made experience to bring participants inside the reality and logic of cyber criminals, challenging them to solve puzzles and complex situations, just as it would happen in a real crisis scenario.
Trend topics such as social engineering (from phishing to deepfake via vishing), supply chain attacks, ransomware, etc. were addressed experientially.
The Value of Simulation
The Cyber Escape Room is more than just a game: it is a unique experiential workshop that transforms a complex and often perceived as highly technical subject into an engaging, collaborative and memorable learning experience. Every choice made by the participants was carefully designed to reflect the real dynamics of a cyber attack and its consequences, making the experience as educational as it is realistic.
Thanks to the careful tailoring of activities based on the day-to-day needs of the organisation, we were able to ensure a high degree of relevance for participants with a total of 28 experiences. The target was to involve at least 100 users, but the expectation was exceeded by reaching 133 users.
This approach not only turns them into IT security ambassadors and promoters of good practices, but also helps to strengthen the security culture within our client’s entire organisation.
From Milan to San Antonio, Texas, a commitment to the future
The partnership with the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore is a concrete example of how institutions can play a crucial role in driving cultural change, even in complex and technical areas such as cyber security. We are proud to have contributed to this visionary and strategically relevant initiative, resulting in our participation in the annual EDUCAUSE conference, held on October 21-24 in San Antonio, TX. This prestigious event brings together the leading experts and innovators in the field of technology applied to higher education, underlining the importance of our commitment to a safer and more connected future.
